To start, I found having an assigned tutor to be of big help. My tutor, Natalie, was very knowledgeable and moreover very patient. I asked many questions, some to do with the course and others to do with general areas of TEFL, and Natalie answered them all for me. One thing you should be prepared for if you take your TEFL-TESOL certificate with this company is that they have fast response times. That was one of the reasons why I chose to take the fully accredited course with tefl online pro. I began my course search by sending off a bunch of inquiry emails to a bunch of different programs and tefl online pro was the one to get back to me the quickest. A few I wrote to never got back to me and a few had me left waiting in a ticket queue and eventually got back to me a week later. I knew I’d be needing support during the course because I haven’t taught before and I didn’t want to be having to wait for an age for responses. So, I went ahead and enrolled in the 120-hour program with tefl online pro.

It’s a great course. I liked that it was divided into modules and that at the end of each one, there was a multiple-choice quiz to complete. When I passed the quiz I went on to the next module. This meant there wasn’t a final exam at the end, which suited me fine because I don’t perform well under a lot of pressure. Some of the quiz questions were a bit too easy, while some of them were a bit too difficult. Overall I’d rate the difficulty of the course as 7/10, with 1 being the easiest and 10 the hardest. I personally thought it hit the mark just right. It wasn’t too easy that you felt like you were destined to pass no matter what you did, but it was also demanding enough that I was forced to pay attention to the materials and I learned tons of new information. Plus, I had Natalie guiding me through the whole process. the course took me 2.5 weeks to complete.

I was a September 2021 graduate of the program, officially completing the course on Sept 27th. I remember the date because it was a Monday and two Mondays later I was already teaching English online. Paul from the school’s office was brilliant help with this process. I wasn’t really that sure how a resume should look for applying for teaching jobs and Paul sent me some templates and advised me what to add in the Education and Work Experience sections. He also gave me a long list of language companies with which tefl online pro has partnerships, as well as a long list of current teaching job openings.

I feel totally relieved that I went with this fully accredited TEFL program and I absolutely recommend the 120-hour course to anyone else who is wanting to teach online or overseas. Thanks, tefl online pro! Becki.
