Vantage TEFL Certification review, submitted by Yazmin.
Going into this as a non-native English speaker, I was feeling nervous about whether I was gong to be good enough and if I would pass. I chose the Vantage TEFL Certification program because so many people recommended it to me. I’m taking a gap year, traveling around South East Asia. It’s not the cheapest TEFL course either so my spider senses were tingling. In the end, everything worked out perfectly. I could take the course onsite or online – I chose online because we only have a 90-day tourist visa so it wouldn’t be possible to stay and take the whole course after using up some of my visa-free days already. I worked on the course when my boyfriend was out or asleep, and sometimes he helped me if I had any critical questions. Throughout the course, my online instructor would keep checking in to see how I was doing. I’m so happy I chose this program! Reddit claimed I couldn’t find a teaching job being a non-native, but that is BS. I’m teaching in Bali – it wasn’t difficult to find a teaching job here. And if I ever go back to Thailand, I’ll ask Vantage for some more support to find a teaching job there. Money well spent!
