I recently completed (March, 2026) the 150-hour virtual TEFL course with CIEE TEFL, and loved it! The online format was very convenient for myself, working full-time, and my online tutor made it easy to engage, ask questions, and receive personalized advice about the course and also future job opportunities. This is an excellent EFL program if you are wanting to teach online.
Yes, you are quite literally on your own, studying, but the tutor breaks down that barrier with almost instant feedback and a cheeky sense of humor. Not everyone will appreciate it, but I laughed out loud at his responses. One tip: because this is 100% online, you do need to make sure that you have stable WiFi. I was held back during one module because my internet went down. I just hopped it to a cafe and worked there. But still, prepare yourself properly.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this course to anyone looking to start their TEFL journey!
