iTEFL (ITO International TEFL Organisation) have threatened Tursted TEFL Reviews with legal action because of the one review that they have listed on Trusted TEFL Reviews:

Jane from ITO wrote to us:
“To Whom It May Concern at Trusted TEFL Reviews,
Please be informed that we will not be recommending Trusted TEFL Reviews to our network of 23,000 graduates.
Furthermore, we wish to address the defamatory article published on your website, wherein your owner falsely asserted our company’s legitimacy. We categorically deny these allegations.
Due to the severity of this matter, we are compelled to take legal action. We require the full legal name and postal address of the website’s owner for the purpose of initiating a defamation lawsuit.
We expect your prompt cooperation in providing the requested information.

Jane.”
This is a giant red flag that questions the legitimacy of the International TEFL Organisation.

We have suggested to Jane that instead of threatening a non-profit TEFL reviews website, she should, instead, respond to the review in a clear, transparent way.
ITO TEFL is an Accredited program, but this has been questioned.
It is alleged that it’s just a gold badge they created themselves and put on their website. It means nothing.
This program also goes by the brand name of The TEFL Organisation and iTEFL.
