TEFL Prague.
Arrived in Prague last week. First time in Europe and my first time overseas. Got here a few weeks early so as to sort my accommodation out before my classes start in September. So far, so good. Haven’t had an induction day so far per se, but have met with the school principal and she was very nice. The school where I’m going to be teaching is an agency located on Vodickova street in Prague 1. I’ve been told that I’ll only be teaching a handful of hours at the school’s head office location and the rest I’ll teach one-on-one at offices and companies around the city. It’s cheap here. How cheap? Yesterday I and a few of the other new recruits went out for goulash and a beer and we paid the equivalent of only $4.75 US each. I wasn’t too fond of the goulash but the beer was awesome! I keep hearing the Czechs make the best beer in the world! I agreed to sign a one-year contract so I guess I’ll have enough time to get used to goulash properly. Prague is beautiful. Also, so far, everyone we have met has been polite and friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel at home here. The guidebook said the opposite would be true, but so far I’ve only met really cool people. Lots of bohemian coffee shops and cafes here too. I wrote this review to say thank you to teflonlinepro.com for making all this possible. Without the TEFL course, I would have been stuck in the same job. Without Paul Murphy’s help and advice, I might have just stayed at home and taught online. Instead, I’m literally in the heart of Europe, and although it sounds like a cliche I am enjoying every moment of my time here. Really looking forward to the rest of the teaching year!
