I thought the 220-hour course was excellent. If I was confused by something I just asked whatever it was that I needed to know and I always got an answer. This was appreciated because otherwise I would have run into difficulties and might even have failed the course without the support that was there for me. I honestly liked everything in the course. Before I started I took the advice to buy a grammar book because I was aware that the course would be covering a lot of grammar and that it can get very complex. I purchased the Practical English Usage grammar book, written by David Swan. What I like about this book is that he explains the grammar and also provides diagrams and examples to go with each grammar theme. It’s such a handy resource to have on hand when a student asks you a difficult grammar question. It’s also good for explaining everyday grammar too. So in conclusion I recommend taking the TEFL qualification through Intesol Worldwide. It’s affordable, there is support on hand if you need it, the course is very thorough, and it wasn’t difficult getting a job after.
