This program met all my needs. I completed my 120-hour TESOL course with TEFL Online Pro last week, so I can speak as someone who has recently gone through the program.

The course materials are logically structured and fun to work through. I have to emphasize the “fun” part here because (well, for me anyway) learning something new can be sometimes very demanding. For example, to be able to teach English you have to learn some difficult grammar subjects. The two grammar modules in the course were pretty intense, but I thought the way that they test your knowledge via the quizzes helped a lot in retaining the knowledge and helped make the learning curve seem much less intense.

I liked how the course focuses heavily on lesson planning structure and using activities and games to present language and grammar. There were so many useful examples of real teacher and student activities and games in the course. The great thing about this is that you can save them and keep them for later on. After modules 6 and 11 there are two lesson plan assignments and you are encouraged to include some of the activities/games in these. I thought this was excellent because it taught me how to structure a lesson plan properly and at the same time how to make the lesson enjoyable for me and my students. Plus, the feedback that I got back on both lesson plans was constructive and encouraging. It helped my confidence. Also, the teaching Business English and Teenagers bonus units at the end were interesting and will I’m sure be helpful additions to my resume.

Speaking about resumes, I asked if they wouldn’t mind looking over mine before I sent it out to schools and they helped me with it. TEFL Online Pro issues your certificate and letter of recommendation right after finishing the final module. There was no having to wait around for the documents. Because of this quick turnaround, I was able to immediately start applying for teaching jobs.

I don’t think it will be any surprise therefore that I recommend this program. The feedback and support, the course materials, the job prospects, and the value for money aspect – all have been excellent.
