My University of Toronto TEFL experience was challenging, learning again after years away from education, yet it was so fulfilling and very user-friendly. I’d say that the best part about my TEFL course experience was the people that I’ve been fortunate enough to meet as a result – students and other teachers I’ve worked with. I suppose this could have happened because of any TEFL course, and I certainly got lucky. But the University of Toronto TEFL has an excellent reputation, so it’s not a surprise that it has enabled me to teach on 2 continents. Having said that, I am still lucky enough to be teaching in person, so my experience will likely be different from others taking their TEFL courses in 2020! The academic staff at the school are clearly passionate about their roles, and the standard of teaching support was consistently excellent. I feel positive about my future job prospects – despite Covid-19 – and feel proud to have the university on my resume.
