ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd review, submitted by Leslie.

Terrible experience with ITT International TEFL & TESOL Ltd.

I read reviews for the program on a few review websites that I thought were legit, but after reading the Online TEFL/TESOL course review scams in 2025 article on Trusted TEFL Reviews, I see that they are not legit at all! ITT has a near-perfect review score on the websites so either the negative reviews aren’t being published or the owner of ITT is review bombing those sites with reviews he writes. It’s probably both cases.

It’s only now that I’m reading about the ITT International TEFL & TESOL Ltd. scam because a friend pointed me to Trusted TEFL Reviews.

I feel embarrassed that after doing my research I fell for the promises of this program.

It was $89 with the discount for the 120-hour TEFL course, which, I know, is too cheap.

But, the reviews were excellent and I thought I was getting a bargain.

To cut a long story short, the course was abysmal. It was so poorly written with grammar and spelling mistakes. The coursework was a joke too. The course is divided into modules, but each module just contains a short page of text. After each module, you have to submit a 2,000-word essay. It’s obviously set up like this so students feel they are doing a lot of work when it’s really just a lazy, badly-put-together course that seemed like it was written by someone who has hardly any TEFL experience.

Of course, at the end, I had to pay for the certificate. I’m still waiting for it and it’s now been five months.

At first, ITT reassured me and said it is on its way. Now, they just don’t respond.

I now know that the accreditation is fake. The website was created by the same guy who created ITT. His name is James Anthony Dwyer.

I had James as my online tutor and he was useless. When I asked a question (the only one I asked during the whole of the course) he just told me to focus and do better. I felt an aggressive and misogynistic vibe from him whenever I got an email from him, except when I was paying and when he was like a car salesman.

ITT International TEFL & TESOL Ltd. has to be one of the worse online courses. If only I could give a 0 star.

Appalling!

  1. So let me get this right.
There’s a British guy (James Dwyer) who lives in the Philippines, but has his two TEFL companies registered in the United Kingdom, and these are ITT International TEFL and TESOL and World TEFL Institute.
He created an accreditation website to attach importance to his two TEFL companies, it is International TEFL/TESOL Accreditation Council.
He created fake staff profiles for his two TEFL companies and his accreditation website.
He churns out fake five-star reviews for his two TEFL companies and hates on his business competitors.
How come this James Dwyer is not in prison and how come his two TEFL companies and the accreditation website are still in existence.
And how does he get away with writing all the hate about his competitors?
I read the reviews for his companies on Go Abroad and they are clearly fake.
I then went on Go Overseas and saw the real reviews, peppered with what is likely a few glowing reviews written by James.
Searching online, most of his reviews are written on his own TEFL review and company websites anyway.
And Trusted TEFL Reviews exposes him for all of this and his response is to completely change the format of his websites and drop “ITT” from his company logo.
Why doesn’t this James Dwyer just go get a real accreditation and get real customer reviews?
What gives? How low does the bar go?

  2. TEFL Online Pro had a bizarre written conversation with James Anthony Dwyer yesterday.

We reported James Anthony Dwyer to the Sussex Police in England, where his two companies are officially based, due to his recorded threats of click-farm clicking on our Google ads, and his recorded threats of a database takeover and SQL injection of malware on the TEFL Online Pro website.

When we threatened him with legal action, he responded, “I don’t need to go down the legal route, it’s too expensive. I’ll go down the dark web route.”

James Anthony Dwyer is a part of (name it for what it really is) a TEFL cartel – a TEFL cartel that includes The TEFL Academy.

The TEFL Academy, with their money cache, could be compared to the Cali Cartel. You could, theoretically, compare Gilberto José Rodríguez Orejuela to The TEFL Academy’s Rhyan O’Sullivan. The TEFL Academy aims to be “The Worlds #1 TEFL Course Provider!”

James Anthony Dwyer is a cartel leader of sorts, more of an El Chapo type, who operates on a more thuggish out-in-the-open level, and whose literacy competence is very poor. James Anthony Dwyer isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.

And then there are the TEFL cartel sicarios, the affiliate marketers – such as Caitriona McTiernan and Megan Broccoli – who do the dirty work for The TEFL Academy, writing hatchet job posts and articles about the business competitors of The TEFL Academy, and promoting its TEFL courses as much as possible with extraordinary promises.

James Anthony Dwyer is currently in England, having taken a long-haul flight from the Philippines to be interviewed by the English police for his cyber crimes against TEFL Online Pro.

A free-market economy is to be cherished, it shouldn’t be taken advantage of to create business monopolies through any possible means.

There are reputable online TEFL and TESOL companies that wake up each and every day to a war – a business war where attacks by business competitors are commonplace.

Yesterday, James Anthony Dwyer wrote that TEFL Online Pro isn’t a real company and that we don’t pay any taxes. We provided him with our company records and reminded him that if we hadn’t been paying tax for 25 years, we would have been incarcerated a good many years ago.

TEFL Online Pro hopes that James Anthony Dwyer receives the justice that has been coming to him for a long time now and that he stops deceiving his customers and stops spreading disinformation and misinformation about his business competitors. He won’t, but one can only hope.

    Kind regards,

    1. Paul.

      I completely agree with you.

Birds of a feather flock together, as too do James Anthony Dwyer and The TEFL Academy.
One of the differences between them is that James doesn’t rely on affiliate marketers to promote his fake TEFL courses, but The TEFL Academy does.
