I-to-I TEFL Courses are marketed online on the I-to-I TEFL website with lots of clever graphics and a whole list of claims and promises.

When you are past the paywall, the course looks amateurish and dated.

I counted over 20 spelling errors and the site kept crashing on me.

It is nearly impossible to get through to someone when you have a question or the site crashes, so you feel isolated and without help.

There were some positives of the course.

The main one was the certificate arrived on time because I paid extra (on top of the certification fee) to have mine delivered by FedEx.

The certificate looks average.

I also liked some of the modules in the course.

My favorite was learning how to manage and time a class.

There are videos, but the quality is poor and has outdated content.

Didn’t have any help finding a job and am still looking.

If you bear in mind the website is completely different from the course, you will be prepared for a frustrating TEFL course study.

It was all done online, so that is another plus.

I didn’t have to travel anywhere for any classes. Took the course from home and when the site wasn’t crashing you could study at your own pace. This I liked.

I think I read somewhere you have 3 months to complete the course.

It took me a day to complete my I-to-i TEFL course.

Would I recommend I-to-I TEFL Courses? No.

  1. Was scammed by I-to-I TEFL. They wanted £150 (£149) for the certificate and when it finally arrived it was crumpled and looked like my daughter had created it online. Turned out to be an expensive training experience and I truly believe they write their own reviews on the review platforms they market. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM!

    Thanks for your message.

I can’t comment on the quality of the i-to-i TEFL certificate because I haven’t seen it.

If your certificate arrived in a poor condition, I would advise contacting i-to-i TEFL and asking them for a certificate reissue.

Yes, it is true that some TEFL and TESOL programs run wild on certain TEFL review websites when it comes to writing their own reviews or incentivizing their graduates to write quid pro quo reviews in return for bonus courses.

reviews.io is a classic example of one of these TEFL review websites with absolutely no verification process, and one used by dodgy TEFL programs to create the illusion that they are highly rated.

We have a zero-tolerance for this on Trusted TEFL Reviews.

  3. It also took an age for my I-to-I TEFL certificate to arrive, but I opted for regular post-delivery. I don’t know where they are registered because it definitely hadn’t been sent from within the USA.

I actually like the look of the certificate but agree that the cost of the certificate issue is steep. I enjoyed the course with I-to-I TEFL. I do agree with you though that the course needs a good looking at because it was showing its age when I took it last year.

  4. I-to-I TEFL graduate 2022.

I checked for you and it appears, from the I-to-I TEFL Facebook page, that I-to-I TEFL might have changed the address of its office headquarters.

It was headquartered in Leeds, West Yorkshire, but it appears now that it is headquartered in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Either way, it is a UK-limited company and, therefore, follows a British English curriculum.

  5. The British English of the I-to-I TEFL course was one issue I had with the course. A course, though, that I overall thought was good. I did the one with 168 hours.

When I interviewed for jobs, no one seemed to care that I had a 168-hour certificate. They always asked if I had a TEFL/TESOL certificate and if it was a 120-hour one.

    Thanks for your comment.

Online and in-person school employers around the world expect you to have a 120-Hour TEFL/TESOL certificate.

140-Hour TEFL/TESOL courses also hold value if they include 20 hours of online or in-person teaching practicum.

Any more than 120 or 140 hours is just so unnecessary and won’t increase your chances of employment at all.

Likewise, no one cares if you have a Level 3 or Level 5 TEFL/TESOL certificate.

Employers just want the reassurance that you have either a 120 or 140-Hour TEFL/TESOL certificate from a Fully Accredited program.

There are 56 Online TEFL/TESOL certification course programs currently listed on Trusted TEFL Reviews.

Out of these 56, just 7 are Fully Accredited.

  7. You should definitely avoid i-to-i.com. They almost hooked me in with their 5 star customer reviews but then I noticed that so many had been written at the same time and that just raised a massive red flag for me. It’s just not usual for 10 people to write a review of a TEFL program on the same day and within hours of each other. I think it was on the reviews.io and trustpilot.com websites where I saw this. Obviously something fishy is going on there. The i-to-i.com reviews on trustedteflreviews.com present the real truth of the program. Again, avoid i-to-i.com. Fake reviews!
