For me personally, the cost of the TOP 120-hour course was a major decision swinger for me when I was deciding which international teaching course to enroll in. I made a list of the most popular programs and compared what they offer with the price of their offer, and TOP was the clear winner.

At first, all the programs appear to provide the same services. That is until you dig deeper. I found out that the cheap courses add on lots of extra costs. The really expensive courses are the same as what TOP offers. I’m not sure whether TOP’s prices are going to increase in the future but at the time of writing this review, their 120-hour accredited TEFL/TESOL certificate course is the best deal you can get. Trust me, I did the research 🙂 For US$249 (including a $ 50-course discount) I had full access to the course, access to literally my 24/7 online tutors, help to find a job, and also a promise they would continue to provide this support any time in the future when needed again. The program issues you a nice-looking course certificate and a letter of recommendation.

Another reviewer wrote that this is a serious course and I would agree. I just thought I would be able to zoom through the course and just get the certificate at the end, but they make sure that you have understood the course content by making you do two lesson plans. My coursework assignment tutor, Sarah, gave excellent feedback on both lesson plans and added some tips on how I might also tailor them to other different age groups.

The course I took, their 120-hour Professional course is self-paced and you work on it when you want. This means that there are no set start or end dates for the course. You decide on the start and end dates. I was on a mission to complete it as quickly as possible because I needed the certificate for a teaching job in Japan I’d applied for and got accepted for. I completed the whole course from start to finish in 10 days, but if you are thinking of taking this course I think 3 to 4 weeks will likely be the normal amount of time you’ll need to get it done.
