UoT TEFL was great!
I took their flagship online TEFL certification course last fall when the world was completely different š and I began my teaching work in January (2020). Thankfully, I decided to teach online because I had other part-time work commitments until this summer, so I wasn’t as affected by the pandemic as I know a lot of other teachers were.
As the previous UoT TEFL reviewer wrote, I also chose this company based on the positive reviews on TTR. I’m also from the Toronto area, so it made heaps of sense to take the course locally so if there were any technical issues it wouldn’t have been an issue to visit the school in person. I never did find myself needing to visit the UoT school office because the course turned out to be self-explanatory, there was the online support component, and I didn’t experience any technical glitches in the software.
From start to finish it took me a little over 7 weeks to have everything complete and the certificate was posted to me a couple of weeks after that. I guess I could have just gone there to collect the certificate but I was out of town for a couple of weeks after completing the course, celebrating! š so it was just easier for me to have it posted in the mail.
They also helped me find my online teaching job! š I recommend UoT TEFL Canada.
