Is i-to-i TEFL Legit? The i-to-i TEFL program gives the impression it is cheap but ends up kinda expensive when you factor in course extensions and certification fees.
Positives of the i-to-i TEFL | Love TEFL online certification program:
- i-to-i TEFL seems to run promotions throughout the year, so it doesn’t matter when you enroll because they are almost certain to be running a discount of some sort when you decide to purchase one of their courses.
- I did some research before committing to the i-to-i 120-hour online Tefl/Tesol course. They have been around for yonks, so are reassuringly most definitely not a fly-by-night operation.
- When I purchased the course I got access immediately. It was charged to my card and the amount charged was the amount I paid for the course. So no nickel-and-diming tactics with this company during the payment process.
- i-to-i TEFL was slow to respond to emails after I paid, but when the replies came they addressed my issues. As a response to the slow communication, it pushed me to solve the problems that arose on the course mostly by myself and therefore helped increase my knowledge of the course materials through independent research.
- The certificate is embossed and looks the part.
- No problems arose when I presented the certificate at language school interviews. Also, no problems when handed over to the visa company for my Chinese working visa.
Negatives of the i-to-i TEFL | Love TEFL online certification program:
- Cost me R900 for a 2-week course extension. I see that other TEFL/TESOL schools charge about the same but for a much longer extension.
- Cost me R1,000 for the delivery of my certificate to my home address in South Africa. This is a crazy amount of money.
Despite the exorbitant charges that I was not expecting, I still give the i-to-i TEFL program 3 stars and consider i-to-i TEFL legit. But I recommend asking i-to-i TEFL, before making your course purchase, for a full list of their extra charges. Just so you know how much the total cost of taking your TEFL/TESOL certification through this company will be?
