A friend recommended I take the 120-Hour Professional course with this company because he had completed it before, sometime in 2019, and the school where he works had a vacancy for a Senior English Teacher and this TEFL qualification was one of the few recognized by the school.

I’ve taught English in a volunteering capacity but never got around to becoming officially TEFL qualified.

So, despite my experience in the field of ESL, I was still expected to take a course. A course that I was sure wouldn’t teach me anything new because I thought I knew all there was to know about ESL and TEFL.

It did come as a pleasant surprise to me that I did in fact learn quite a few new things in this course, such as Classroom Management Skills, Phonetics, and the complexities of Teaching Reading, Writing, and Listening.

The course is excellent. I even had a tutor, whom I would bother at unsociable hours for answers to (mostly) relevant-to-the-course questions. Kate, my tutor, always (and I mean ALWAYS) responded within a couple of minutes. TEFL Online Pro’s student support is remarkably efficient. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why they were recommended to me.

I passed the course with a 100% grade and received my fully accredited TEFL/TESOL certificate the same day. That is efficient for you!

As I didn’t require any job support services, I can’t comment on that side of their business, which is why I left off a star in my review. But they did write to me, asking if I need help in this area, so I guess they do offer their graduates help with this. I read somewhere that they also offer to help you with your resume or CV.

This is one of the cheaper TEFL/TESOL courses and clearly one of the best TEFL/TESOL programs.

I also want to make it very clear that I paid for the course out of my own pocket. The school I have a teaching job with didn’t pay for the course for me. So I am not someone writing about a free course they got. I paid for the course myself.
