The Vantage TEFL TESOL program has been an incredible opportunity for me to dive into my deepest passions: teaching and traveling. This program clearly had a high level of expertise in designing a program to blend these passions, ensuring to prepare me not only for the intensive methodology and teaching practice components of the program but also allowing me to find room to explore my personal curiosity for different teaching methods and integrating these into the TEFL TESOL program and its assignments. By doing so, the program continued to allow me to creatively explore how I wanted to navigate the professional world of teaching during and after graduation, (of course, with proper parameters in place, such as within the program’s established system of teaching), providing guidance when needed, and then empowering me to trust in myself to step into my wiser self with the knowledge instilled within me. As you can probably tell, I absolutely loved the program! 🙂
Time and luck were also on my side, as I completed the program before Covid hit and I had already started my teaching placement in Hua Hin, where I am still currently happily located 🙂 Now though, most of my classes are still having to be taught online, but gradually, things are returning back to normal, a new normal I suppose, and I should be back teaching full-time in person within the next few months. I can’t recommend Hua Hin enough! Hua Hin is often overlooked by the backpacking trailblazers, something which I must admit I’m pretty content with because it gives the town the breathing space to retain its Thai local charm, and it has one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen. And together with the world-class seafood, impressive ex-pat infrastructure, and relatively low cost of living, I keep finding it bar on impossible to have anything negative to say about Hua Hin.
If you want to teach English in Thailand, Vantage TEFL should be your only choice. If you want to escape the crowds, you should consider making the 5-hour coach ride down to Hua Hin. You might just, just like me, completely fall in love with this sleepy fishing town.

I wanted to add to your Vantage TEFL review that I see many people asking on Thailand forums if they should move/travel to Hua Hin or Pattaya.
Hua Hin and Pattaya are two completely different worlds apart.
Pattaya is trying to improve its image, but it is still largely a destination for some of the dregs of society.
Hua Hin, on the other hand, is a royal town (the King of Thailand has a royal residence in Hua Hin) and is a far more respectable destination. It’s more of a Thai town too, so you won’t find any generic Hard Rock Cafe restaurants in Hua Hin.
Trusted TEFL Reviews recommends Hua Hin as a teaching English destination.
Trang is also a recommended location.
