With a mountain of programs to choose from online, MyTEFL ticked all the boxes. I wanted to do the training online and I wanted the job placement.
From start to finish, I had a good interaction with experienced instructors who guided me through the course. They made the info very accessible for an inexperienced, beginner teacher like myself. The website navigation was clear, no bugs, no grammar errors or spelling mistakes. I very pleasant way to learn the subject material I thought. The course gets five stars.
Problems began when the course was over and I reached out to MyTEFL for the job placement. Previously, they had said I could easily earn $3000 teaching English in Thailand. Now they were revising that figure down to $1500. They claimed the quote had been for a couple teaching together, although it was never brought up in any of our correspondence. I declined the job placement offers and searched independently.
