This is a positive i-to-i review, but with one major caveat. Taking the TEFL course online was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my personal and professional growth. I was laid off from my work six months ago, and with no clear path forward within my own industry, I opted to re-train myself in a different field altogether. This is where my TEFL training journey began, and I am incredibly proud of myself for seeing it through to the end. The course was well-structured, with clear and practical lesson examples that prepared me to teach English confidently. I mean, I’m still learning on the job, but that appears to be pretty standard for all fresh TEFL teachers. I did really appreciate how engaging the materials were and how the program focused on both theory and hands-on practice, and the support from tutors was excellent.
The caveat is with regard to the i-to-i pricing structure. My course (120 hours) appeared to cost $99. Why did I assume this? “$99” was the huge number next to the course description. After I’d paid the 99, I quickly saw this was only one of 5 installment payments that I’d need to be making. Going back through the website, I do now see that this is clearly explained… in small print on the course description page. Had I known, I would never have paid the initial installment. My tip is when you reach the Checkout page, double check that you are paying for the entire course and not only an installment.
