This is a very well-prepared and engaging course. Even when I thought I’d gotten the hang of all the grammar, I still found new areas to learn. My advice before taking this course is to invest in a good grammar book and do some grammar prep before starting because there is a lot of grammar covered in the course and some sections of it were difficult to take in at first. Grammar definitely isn’t exciting to study but is so important if you want to have the basic foundations for teaching TEFL. Had I not taken the course and had I chosen to teach without the TEFL I just don’t know how I would have been able to manage it. So my strong advice is to take grammar seriously because it will help you in the long run. I chose this specific TEFL online program because I’m hoping to teach in South America next year. Maximo Nivel TEFL seemed like it was the only TEFL program specialized in placing students in teaching positions there. The only regret I have is that I didn’t know about the possibilities of TEFL sooner.
