I will start off by making note of what is obvious. This is what you will get out of any educational program that you put into it. My experience with OISE TESOL was exceptional. My online tutors were very knowledgeable about the course they were instructing and trust me, there were no grades being given away. This isn’t one of your automatic pass courses. I have taken automatic pass courses online before and while they delivered the required qualification they left me feeling academically thirsty. I definitely didn’t feel unsatisfied with this OISE TESOL course. The syllabus hits on all areas of TESOL and to be fair, I did have a few meltdown moments when I just felt completely overwhelmed with what was required of me to absorb. That’s when the tutor support kicked in. When I had a question I asked and had a reply back. Replies were never more than two days forthcoming. Without this support, I honestly don’t think I could have completed the course. So if you are reading my review and wondering what your TESOL course should comprise, tutor support is paramount. Having read other OISE TESOL reviews here I can concur that the certificate takes a while to be delivered. But this isn’t a $20 TESOL program where you print out a Mickey Mouse certificate at the end. I am delighted with how my OISE TESOL certificate looks and I’ve had no problems using the certification in job interviews. I now teach English online. The OISE TESOL course continues to be an incredibly useful resource when planning what to use in my classes.
