UNI-Prep review, submitted by Rey.
I have learned so much in four short weeks through this course. My instructor, as well as the school admin, were top-notch. I had no idea what to expect when I signed up for the course. I couldn’t really understand how it would be possible to teach teaching through the distance learning medium. Of course now that I’ve completed the course I can easily see how it is done. It’s so much more than learning how to teach grammar to. I learned a wide range of subjects. The emphasis is on learning the essentials, such as grammar, and then incorporating the knowledge into effective lesson plans. I must confess that I struggled with the grammar sections of the course. Luckily, I purchased an excellent grammar explainer book before I took the course and I was able to refer to it throughout the four weeks. It took me four weeks to complete the course but as far as I’m aware of you get as long as you want. This might be incorrect information. Best ask Uni-Prep. Either way, this is a self-study course that you have control over when you want to study. I would find myself spending hours on the course, only to then have a few days off to recharge my batteries, and this system worked just fine for me. I would personally avoid any TEFL courses which have specific start and end dates. Too much stress! The Uni-Prep course was flexible and well-written and I learned so much and revised so much grammar knowledge. 10/10! And it is an accredited program too. What’s not to like about this program?
