Bridge TEFL review, submitted by Eric.
While the online experience was good because the online class tutors will take the time to make sure everything is running smoothly as far as the coursework and help with assignments goes, the school’s general admin support is a bit laggy. Questions about help with writing my resume and help with finding a teaching job online went unanswered and I didn’t feel I received the promised support from Bridge TEFL. I understand I can search for jobs online by myself but I could have done with having some guidance at least because I’m still not really sure which schools are worth teaching for and how much is a good hourly rate for offering English classes online. Had I received this support, I would have recommended the program to others. On the other hand, I do feel that I received very good training and the course was great for someone like me who had no teaching experience going into it. I don’t think it is possible to teach everything you need to know about teaching English in such a short time but Bridge TEFL covered the bases and I know that the information I covered in the course will be relevant when I begin teaching. I have managed to pick up some teaching hours and I am beginning to plan for a trip overseas to teach. I think this course would suit someone who just needs the training and who doesn’t depend on much support from the school.
