For a city with over 8 million inhabitants, there is actually a severe shortage of TEFL institutes. The institute which kept coming up in my searches was the Vantage TEFL Institute. When I contacted the office they were very helpful and what I liked was the option of studying part of the course online, with the other part of teaching practice taking place at their Bangkok premises. This meant taking the course was a much more viable option for me as I was able to minimize the amount of time I would need to put aside spent at an onsite location. Btw, the trainers and office staff at the school were very helpful and friendly. It was an absolute pleasure making the trip to the center when my classes were scheduled. It was also very easy to find a teaching position (within a week or so after I had finished the course) because the demand for teachers in the city is high. If you don’t have the TEFL yet and you want to teach in Bangkok, I definitely advise taking this course.
