On 09 November 2019, I started the Hybrid 140-hour Online TEFL course through the tefl online pro program, featuring both an online and in-class component. I found this company on the trustedteflreviews.com website. Upon enrolling I received my login username and password, so I could start the course straight away, and I also received a personalized welcome email from the school office. This reinforced my belief that I had made the right choice. The online course component was interesting and easy to follow. It’s also responsive, so I could work on my laptop or mobile. I did think the first few modules were way too easy. After the third module though it dramatically picks up a more engaging pace. Guess they must do this to gradually get us used to the new materials. I really can’t fault the course and having a tutor on hand 24/7 was a great added feature. I decided to teach my 20 hours of in-class experience at a local immigration program, close to where my parents live. I’m not sure whether everyone would need to take the in-class component, but I benefited from using what I learned on the course in a classroom setting before I began teaching properly. My certificate arrived in the post not long after I had graduated and at the beginning of January, I began teaching English in Lyon, France. All in all an outstanding course.
