Having heard so many positive reviews of the OISE UoT TEFL certification course I signed up and that is when my TEFL journey began its upward climb. The program perfectly suited my needs because I didn’t have the time to sit a 4-week residential course and this way I was able to study when and where I wanted to. Note though that you won’t actually be taking the course through the university, but through a company named ‘Teach Away’ you still have the UoT emblem prominent on your final certificate and this was the defining reason for me wanting to take this course online with them.
Contrary to what some other reviewers have claimed on here, they do help with post-course job support and I actually thought the service provided was on a high level. The online course covers everything you are required to learn about TEFL and I promise you will come away with valuable insights into what it takes to be a teacher of English overseas. The only negative for me was when I found it that the course isn’t recognized within Canada or the USA, but I intend to teach abroad so this wasn’t a game changer in any way for me.

Dear public. Stop listening to paid reviews by employees of the Teach Away. Actual paying customers are appalled by this company and will tell you it is a cash grab. The course is terrible. The support is non-existent, and the time to receive your certificate is more than 6 weeks because apparently they gold plate the certificate after pressing print and spitting out the template with your name on it.
